Dad & I were able to get away for a few days... actually it felt more like running away. When we woke up on Friday morning with snow on the ground I said to my sweetheart..."Turn the car South and let's get out of town NOW!!!" It grew warmer and more sunny with each passing mile and we felt pure glee to be heading to St. George! We enjoyed the sunny 80's and blue sky. We rested, played, shopped, went for walks , ate great food and watched the Jazz win a great game! We saw an amazing bronze display of the Savior's life at the temple's visitor's center. It was inspiring! Everything was just perfect! We did not want to come home on Tuesday but alas all good things do eventually come to an end. We drove right back into wind, cold, snow and it felt like winter again. Oh well, life does go on but we were so very happy and grateful to be able to recharge our batteries in the sun. Thanks to Bob and Keri for letting us stay in their home....it was lovely. We look forward to seeing all of you soon.
On Saturday we went to Zion National Park. What a beautiful day as we saw an IMAX movie on the history of the park, and witnessed the awesome beauty of the mountains.
On Sunday we went to the visitor's center of the beautiful St. George temple. This is where we saw the incredible bronze display. Next time you go to St. George I would highly recommend it. The temple looked so beautiful as we walked around the grounds. We were surprised to see former KSL weatherman Mark Eubank as one of the greeter missionaries. We had an opportunity to get a picture with Dan. Mark jokingly said we've got a team here..let's do a newscast!
Once again, we want to thank Bob and Keri for the generous use of their home. It was refreshing to see the roses and flowers in bloom.
