Tyler turns "12"

We have yet another grandson turning twelve! Oh my, we cannot believe that Tyler is getting so tall, so smart and so clever! Tyler actually got our computer in the basement working including getting us hooked up with an adapter so we could receive a strong enough signal to the basement to work properly. We now have two computers up and running. Yea! (Thanks to Jason also for all his help preparing the computer for us) Yes, it is true we needed a lot of help... apparently you must be 40 or younger to know what to do with the installation of a computer!!! Thank goodness we have smart children and grandchildren!

We had a super Friday "birthday celebration" with Tyler, Taryn, Rylie and Daddy Todd! We had some great food and then came to Grandma Linda's for cake, ice cream, gifts and more fun! We watched the Jazz win yet another game. We all had so much fun together. I am so grateful for our family. You all add so much happiness to our lives. We love you "Mr. Button Boy."
Tyler we wish you a "Very Happy Birthday" sweetie!

Our Prophet

We have been very saddened at the passing of our dear President Gordon B. Hinkley on January 27, 2008. He had such a possitive attitude and light and love that always surrounded him and radiated out to all of us. He gave us hope! He reminded us often that "things aways have a way of working out...they really do!" We all loved to hear him speak and regarded his counsil and sound gospel doctrine as a balm to our hearts and souls. He always wanted us to be a little better and try a little harder to be true followers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. May we as a family honor his name be following that counsil. Now he has been reunited with his dear wife Marjorie once again after 4 years of seperation. I find it so intresting that Grandma Jo passed away only six weeks earlier and was once again reunited with Grandpa Tom. When I feel sad about Mother or the passing of our dear Prophet I just think of them with their eternal partners and it puts a smile on my face and in my heart. The funeral for President Hinkley yesterday Feburary 2, 2008 was wonderful. The clouds parted and the sun shined and the weather was beautiful just long enough to brighten his funeral. It was a lovely day unlike the weather before and after his funeral. I thought that was so appropiate since he created sunshine wherever he went. Even though I was at work I listened to the programs along with the funeral and then was able to actually watch much of it on the internet. It is such a blessing that many across the world had access to watch or at least listen to the tributes and the hope of life everlasting and hear once again about this remarkable man. We shall never forget the thirteen years that we have been so blessed to have such a wonderful Prophet to follow and to love. We will never forget President Gordon B. Hinkley!
