Jason's Birthday!

We had a wonderful time with Jason and family to celebraten "J's" birthday. Good food, good conversation and great hugs and kisses from our adorable Laura and Sara. We ate cake and made wishes and had some ice cream to boot. It was a very nice time we shared together. Jason did not seem to mind to much about adding another year to his age. (He is still just a pup!)
As a bonus Jason along with Melinda's support and love they were willing and able to fix our home computer for only $150! We almost bought a new computer for $1,860 but Jason and Melinda had a much better idea...save money, upgrade your computer and all will be well. Yes, it turned out to be a perfect solution to our computer problem! We love and appreciate all you do for us!

Son's & Granddaughters!

Finally we have the very first pictures of Sophie with her cousins Laura & Sara. Nice that our sons can visit and enjoy some time with our beautiful granddaughters. Thanks for all the love we share in our family. As time goes on Sophie will get to know all of us and we will be blessed to get to know this precious Sophie girl too! We are blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives! Life is good.

More Whining!

Just a wee bit more to whine about....a continuation of "Yikes." I forgot to mention that before we left for St. George I fell in front of Verd's fruit stand on state street. Picture this....I am wearing a wrap around skirt....as I said I fell down on my knees, I rolled three times into the grass and ended up face up looking at the sky, skirt wide open and garments exposed! How embarrassing! Me, state street, dressy whites exposed! Not a pretty sight! I really injured my left knee which became infected and I am still on an antibiotic for it. It is almost better now.
To continue the saga our sprinkling system began leaking in a very big way and we have been involved with our sprinkler guy for the past two days to repair the problem. It required digging up a very large area on the west side of our yard to repair the break in our system.
My 3 month old laptop computer has been flashing a "blue screen of death" problem and I am now on to the next issue of trying to decide how to solve this situation before I loose all of my data. Help anyone? I know that all this shall pass....can it please be soon?

Yikes!

And the fun continues!!! All of our woes started when we decided to replace our roof. Prices are going to triple for shingles by the end of the year and since we needed a new roof we moved of that decision post haste before prices started to go up on July 15th. Needless to say we had not planned on this expense at this time. Then we found out from our accountant that we owed $5,000 in taxes for 2007! We went to St. George for a small vacation and to see the play at the Tuachan "The Sound of Music." It was a wonderful production and we enjoyed it very much. We drove up to Pine Valley about half and hour from St. George to enjoy the beautiful scenery. As soon as we drove into a parking lot in Pine Valley we noticed that our radiator was leaking fluid big time. Thanks to some very special people we were given water to fill or radiator and a personal escort down the mountain back to St. George. It resorted my faith that there are still very good people in this world! We were touched with gratitude for those helping hands. Our saga continues....On Tuesday, we took the car into a Ford Dealership to have the non-functional radiator hose repaired. We had planned to leave for home on Tuesday, however we were told that they could not get a part for at least 2 days. They told us that they had a way to fix it well enough to get us home but we would have to leave the car overnight. We rented a car! Ug....We left for home Wednesday and drove home without any problems! We prayed hard the we would be protected and we made it home safely. The next day was Mom Breinholt's 90th Birthday open house. As we were driving to her home alas our air conditioning went out completely. We took our car to the dealership on Friday and Dan got another rental car since our car will not be ready until Tuesday. As he was driving out to Eagle Mountain to show property he had a flat tire in the rental car and was stranded on the freeway for 40 minutes. He had to replace the tire! We thought that nothing else could possibily go wrong....RIGHT? Well, it wasn't meant to be! Today, Monday....the handle on our microwave came completely off and we have a major leak in out sprinkling system that has to be repaired tomorrow!!!
Please keep a good thought and prayer that we are though with all of this "NOW!"

90th Birthday Milestone!

Our sweet mother Marge Breinholt turned 90 years on July 30th. We had a birthday open house to honor her on Thursday night. We had a wonderful time eating and catching up on all the news. Mom was so pleased with everything and enjoyed seeing everyone again. She told me that "I don't know how many years I have left, but I will never forget my open house." She enjoyed every minute. We are so blessed to have such an inspiring mom to enjoy. She is doing so well it is hard to believe that she has reached that golden age of 90! She is involved with life, politics, clubs, church and family. She does not miss a beat! We love you Mom! It was delightful to be able to have such a wonderful birthday celebration for you!

Happy 24th!

We had a wonderful family party complete with good food and conversation. We love our family so much and it is always a plus to be able to share the memories with all of you!
