Birthday Girls!

Count 'em! Six (6). That's the number of birthdays our family celebrates during the month of January. Last night we celebrated two of them. Keslie (14) and Emily (4) had birthday parties at Bob and Keri's. These beautiful grand-daughters are growing so fast! The celebrations gave us a chance to see all of the Reid grandchildren. We had lots of fun and handed out plenty of hugs. However, we're still not through with January B-days. We'll be celebrating Tyler's 12th birthday at our house on Friday. It will be fun to visit with Todd and his family..We'll keep you posted.

Happy B-day Adam

It's hard to believe but Adam just turned 12-years old! It seems just like yesterday that we were looking at him as an infant. Last night we had a special birthday dinner for Adam (he wanted steak) We had Bret, Hannah and Jacob..it was great to see the family. Yesterday also marked a "first" for Adam as he passed the Sacrament for the first time. He was thrilled and said it went very well. We are very proud of Adam as well as the entire family. They are doing so much better. What a miracle!

Remembering Grandma Jo

Please enjoy this great picture of my Mom & Dad ...Grandma Jo and Grandpa Tom. Life keeps moving on day by day so very quickly that it seems to me that I blink and I have missed a whole week. I love preserving our pictures and sharing our lives with one another. It keeps it real and helps us remember the small things but also the most important things in life. Thanks to Jason and Melinda for setting such an awesome example for us to follow in keeping up their blog. I love it! I love my family so much and this process really keeps us a part of one another! A special thanks to Ondre for e-mailing this picture to me.

Go Jazz!

Here we are at last nights Jazz game. Thanks to Bob we got to see the Jazz beat the Milwaukee Bucks 98-87. D-Will had 33 points in a game we had to come back in the four quarter to win. We had a great time with Bob & Keri. We have been able to see a lot of our kids lately. We hope 2008 will be a year of great memories with our family. We're looking forward to all the fun things that are planned so far, like Disneyland in October. Can't wait.

Ordination Day!

We can't believe our Adam received the Aaronic Priesthood today. There was a wonderful spirit in the Bishops office as Bret gave Adam a beautiful blessing to confir the Priesthood to his son. We felt a sense of pride and wonder in this process. Adam looked so handsome in his new suit. We are so proud of Bret for tying so hard to do all the things he can as a father to raise up his children in the gospel. While we were in Salt Lake today we decided to connect with Todd. It has been such a long time since we have been up to see him. We decided to take him out for dinner and Todd suggested the "Red Iguana." It's a place we have never been. We were surprised by the fantastic tasting food, much different than most Mexican restaurants. We can't wait to
go there again.

The Red Iguana is on North Temple at about fifth or sixth west. Not much to look at but Great food!

Happy New Year 2008!

Wow...I cannot believe that another year has come and gone with such speed...Whew! The older I get the faster time goes and sometimes I just blink and a week has mysteriously gone missing! I hope that I will be able to keep up better in 2008...It is going to be Great!
Let's recap 2007 which I reflect upon to be the best of times and the most difficult of times. We have had many challenges but also many blessings. First, the best of times. We were blessed with three beautiful grand-daughters starting with Sophie in Jan., Sara in Jun. and Aysha in October. We are so grateful all are doing well and healthy. In July we were able to find the perfect home for mom (Grandma Jo). Although this was a tough year for mom, the "angels" at the Cambry house took great care of her. They loved her and made her last few months as comfortable as possible. I feel 2007 was a year of bonding and closeness with our children. From hard pregnancies, to moving into new homes, to dealing with the difficult issues that life thows at us, we are just grateful we could be nearby to help. In spite of the slumping real estate market Dan and I somehow survived. In December, a usually slow month, Dan started out with one..then, miraculously I sold five condos after mom passed away on Dec. 19th. I hope this is a sign of good things to come in 2008. All in all we have been very blessed. As a family we can work through the hard times together. I am looking forward to an even better year in 2008! Happy new year..we love you all.
