Surgery is over!

Adam made it through the surgery and everything went as well as could be expected. Bret explained to me that the first and second or middle finger of Adam's left hand were cut. The middle finger was stitched and is in the process of healing. The surgery was on the first finger. The wound was to the bone and two of the three tendons were cut in two. The surgeon said that he connected the tendons and the nerve (the size of a strand of hair) were re-attached. The area that was cut is in the doctor's words "no man's land" and the outcome remains to be seen. He said that it would be a very long recovery process with physical therapy over and extended period of time. Bret is grateful to have a good insurance plan....the surgery alone is $20,000 plus the doctor bills and all that will follow to restore the full use of Adam's finger. He was in a great deal of pain last night and Dan and I went to help him out last night. Dan and Bret gave Adam another beautiful blessing and he was doing better when we left.
Adam is on pain medication that has made him very sick to his stomach today ( Tuesday ) and so he is miserable. Please remember him in your prayers! Adam we love you and pray that you will feel much better soon!
