Big Owie!!!

Adam was trying to get a paring knife out of it's holder and cut and I do mean cut two fingers on his left had very badly! Hannah and her girlfriend took Adam to the emergency room after wrapping his fingers up in a towel. They had no time to clean up all the blood in the kitchen. Bret came home from work only to find everyone gone and blood everywhere! He knew something really bad had happened! Bret was very upset and didn't know what was going on and luckily, at that moment he got a call from Hannah explaining what had happened. Bret made his way post haste to the hospital! Bret arrived at the hospital and met with Dr. Richard Fryer and found out all the details of the damage to Adam's fingers. Both fingers needed many stitches because of the deep wounds and damage to them. Some tendons and nerves had also been cut. The total repair would require surgery. Adam will need have a two hour surgery tomorrow, Monday at 7:30 A.M. We love you Adam and our thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie. Adam has been very brave through all of this and has a great attitude about everything. He told me that he had really learned a great lesson about how much damage a sharp knife can do very quickly. He told me that he would never handle a knife again in his life. He said, "when I grow up I will have my wife do all of the cutting for my family!!!" We love you Adam. We pray all will go well tomorrow!

Happy Easter!

What a beautiful day for Easter Sunday. Warm weather and blue skies. I can't remember an Easter Sunday coming so early before but March 23rd works just fine! Church was wonderful with inspirational talks and wonderful music. We had a delicious meal with turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. Yum! We invited Bret and his family to dinner and enjoyed the day so much. It was our Hannah's 17th (can you belive that?) birthday on March 15th and so it was a perfect time to have her birthday cake and ice cream to celebrate her birthday as well. Happy Birthday to a sweetheart grand-daughter! We love you Hannah! Bob & Keri and kids were driving back from St. George and stopped by so they came just in time for the birthday party. It was nice for Hannah and Keslie to catch up on girly talk. Happy Easter to everyone! We love our family very much! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday and remember that through Christ and His atonement we can be a family forever!

Zipadee doo dah

After five years at Remax Dan has made a change and joined Zip Realty. This is a company on the cutting edge of real estate. Almost totally internet-based it provides Dan with numerous leads he would not normally get. In fact, in just the first three weeks Dan has received more that 60 leads, and already has one listing and is working with four buyers. Wow! Also Zip Realty rebates 20% of the buyers agent commission back to the buyer. For instance at $300,000 home would rebate about $1,800 back to the buyer. That's unheard of. So if you know anyone looking for a home be sure to refer them to Dan. He'll take good care of them. Dan's new website can be found by clicking on the links button of this blog.

Grandpa Dan's Birthday!

Yes another birthday for Dan on February 22! We love to see those birthday's each and every year....we are not getting older but better and better each day! I promise! Once again Dan was spoiled with birthday love and gifts and food and birthday cake to boot! Thanks to everyone for the cards, love, phone calls and everything! Thanks to Melinda for the delicious birthday dinner and cake and ice cream! Dan looks great in his new powder blue Jazz hat thanks to Jason and Melinda. Did I say spoiled!

Girls and Fun!

We had a great time tending Sara and Laura while Jason and Melinda went to a Jazz game for Valentines day. They are still sweetheart's and it shows. We were glad to see Mom and Dad go so that the girls and I could play! Yea! We played and played while Grandpa Dan watched the game. We had a great time together in their beautiful new home. The girls are more entertaining than the game. They are the best girls and we love them very much. Jason and Melinda did come home after the game and had a wonderful date and some alone time. It works for all of us to trade places now and again. It was a nice time for everyone. We love you all!

Bryson Turns 12!

Bryson had a teriffic February Birthday too! Can you beleive that all three of our oldest grandson's turned the big number twelve this year. Adam, Tyler and now Bryson are all twelve and have been ordained to the priesthood and are passing the sacrament. They all look so handsome in their new suits. Bryson had a great birthday party with family and friends. They all played games and ate and ate and ate! All were seen laughing and having a great time. Bryson, we are so proud of you....what a handsome boy you are! Thanks for having us to your party, we had fun seeing all of you. Love you Bryson...you are the best!
Next year will be the big number "13" for you three boys! I think it will take me the whole year to get used to that idea!
