Dearest family,
How can I thank all of you so very much for the love and support that were given so freely over the past few weeks. We have received lots of hugs, kisses, food ( Melinda fed us 3 times!) also food for thought, time (Todd spend an afternoon helping me out) offers of unselfish kindness to help with anything that we needed (all of you). All of my adorable children and grandchildren went to see Grandma Jo in the days before she passed through the veil. Priesthood blessings for Mom (Thanks Jason) and prayers that were given in our behalf. I am a child of God were sung to Grandma Jo by our grandchildren...how tender and sweet is that? Thanks to all of you who helped with the services for Grandma in any way whatsoever! (You all came to share your love!) I thought that the talks, music, and the spirit were wonderful. I know that my mother was so pleased with her day of honor and the services in her behalf. I know that she is so happy and grateful today. She is growing and enjoying life in a new and extraordinary way beyond our ability to fully understand. All of your acts of kindness and love were appreciated! I love all of you, my darling ones. Thank You! Love, Mom
Thanks to all of my wonderful children and their families.
We are so grateful for our adorable grandchildren.
And for our extended family..we love you!!!

Farewell For Now!
It was a sad but glorious day as we laid to rest our sweet Grandma Jo. What a joy it is that she is re-united with her family beyond the veil. The services went beautifully. The talks were inspired, the music uplifting, and the spirit was present. We learned what we already knew, that she was a true disciple of our Saviour Jesus Christ. That she truly gave service to others, and that she had an unwavering testimony of the Gospel. Thanks to Linda, Debbie, Kevin, Uncle Tom, and Susan for helping to paint a beautiful picture of their mom and sister. It was great to see so much of our family gathered together. God be with you, Grandma Jo, until we meet again.

Christmas Day!
Thanks to our family, the past few days have given us a reprieve from the stressful week of losing our Grandma Jo. Saturday Bob and Keri had a wonderful party at their home in which we exchanged Christmas gifts, ate tasty munchies, and watched BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl. The result was a one point miracle win for the Cougars. All in all it was a festive time. It was also fun to see Keri's and Bret's kids. They seemed to enjoy the presents we got for them. It was very enjoyable seeing them so excited. Then, today, (Christmas) Jason and Melinda had us over for a yummy breakfast (scones, butter honey, bacon, juice)..it was so tasty. We had a chance to visit in their new home and, of course, have a fun time exchanging presents and hugging Laura and Sara. We're so grateful for family this time of year. We thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas season and looking forward to a great 2008!!
Laura's imagination was active today and coerced Grandpa Dan to play prince and princess. It keeps you hoppin' to ad-lib the parts. (note the wedding ring on grandpa's left hand)
The "poppin" toy we got for Sara kept everybody's interest including Laura.

Until We Meet Again!
Grandma Jo was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior last night, Wednesday at 10:20 P.M. She has been reunited with her dear husband and our father, son, parents, grandfather and great-grandfather and a host of family and friends. I know that Mom and Dad are so happy to be together again after 8 long years. Mother never got over the loss of Dad. It is so comforting to think of my parents together again and it brings a smile to my heart. I know she is so happy today hugging and loving Terry, her mother and father and baby brother. I will miss her every day but I know where she is and that she is young and happy, healthy and full of love and light. She is at peace and at one with God and her loved ones. Mother you are such a blessing to all of us. I know she will watch over us all everyday! She will always be in my heart! Love, Mom...Grandma Linda

Grandma Jo
This is a very difficult time for our family as we prepare for the loss of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. As she leaves our lives and enters her new life she will be reunited with her husband, son, her parents, her brother and a host of others. I am sure they are waiting with great joy to receive her. She will have an amazing experience in the next few days or even hours of her life here upon the earth. She has been loved and cared for by many people. Thanks to the Cambry house and hospice for all the angels that have loved and cared for her these past few difficult months of her life. It has been a difficult year for her. I am so grateful that she can go home now and be relieved of all of her worldly cares. She will return to a state of health, happiness, growth, beauty and love. We will miss her so very much but I feel honored to have called her mother. I have been so blessed to not only have an awesome mother but a very dear friend in my life. I will always remember her noble example to me and all of you as well. We have been blessed to have had her in our lives and for all the love she shared with each and every one of us. She loved us all with all her heart!

Adams Family Christmas Party
We had a wonderful time tonight visiting with our dear family. It was great to see so many all together at once. It was nice to hug and catch up on all the news in our families. What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas. We had yummy food...soups, rolls, salads and desserts! We left with full hearts and tummy's! We look forward to seeing those who were not able to come soon. Grandma was missed tonight but I know she was with us in her heart. As Christmas comes lets remember the reason for the season...the birth of our Lord and Savior. We love you all! Merry Christmas!
We had a great time with my siblings, Debbie, Susan, and Kevin. It was also great to see my uncle Tom looking great after a tough summer of surgeries. Aunt Dorothy is making sure he stays healthy.

Our Candle Lighting Ceremony 2007
I am so very grateful that we started this awesome tradition in 1988. We have been sharing our love and gratitude for the "light of Christ" in our lives and the birth of our savior and I cannot believe that next year will mark a 10 year tradition! I appreciated all the sincere hearts that shared such tender feelings on Sunday night. As I looked around the room my heart swelled to see my wonderful family. I am so grateful for our three new baby granddaughters...Sophie, Sara and Aysha. They are all beautiful, healthly and loved. Each one of our precious grandchildren are loved and appreciated and important to us. We love each one of our children. Bret, Todd, Jason & Melinda, Bob & Keri Lynn. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.
We are so grateful to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. During this holiday season, remember that you are important and loved by us and many other people. We all have much to be grateful for, if we only take the time to notice. May your list of God's blessings be long and unending. Make it a wonderful holiday and a great new year...Merry Christmas!!! Mom

Candle lighting ceremony
Tonight our home was truly a "gathering place" as our family came together for our annual candle lighting ceremony. This ceremony signifies the light of Christ in our lives. There was good eats, fun for all and, oh yes, the candle lighting event in which each of us related the things we were thankful for. All in all it has been a very good year which has included the birth of three grand-daughters. All are well, happy, and I must say very "cute"! Linda also gave a presentation of the word "JOY" and how we must strive to incorporate it into our lives. "J" standing for Jesus, and how we should live by his example. "O" standing for oneness as in the atonement. Also standing for others, and obedience. And, "Y" meaning it all starts with you. We are so blessed with a great family that has grown year-by-year since we started the candle light tradition some 18 years ago. Merry Christmas to our wonderful family, we love you.

Tis the season!
Another Christmas season is upon us. Today we put our tree up, listened to our Christmas CD's and tried to muster up some Christmas spirit. While it is easy to get caught up in the commercial aspect of the season, we are trying real hard this year to concentrate on the true meaning of Christmas. "And so at this Christmas season, we sing His (Christ's) praises and speak our words of faith and gratitude and love. It is His influence in our lives that stirs within us more kindness, more respect, more love, more concern." President Gordon B. Hinckley. So at this Christmas time let us remember the Lord Jesus Christ in reverence and love. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and look forward to being with our family. We love you all!!

Adams Family Christmas Party!
We hope that all of you can make the party. It is a tradition that we want to continue. Even though Grandma can't be with us this year I am sure that it would mean so much to her that we are trying to honor her and Grandpa by continuing what they started so long ago. See you on December 15, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. Thanks for your support over the years... families really are forever. You are all so very important to us.
Love to you all!

New DVR!
We finally gave into family peer pressure and had a DVR installed. However, we had to do some serious negotiations with Comcast in order for it to fit into our budget. We gave it a try last night and recorded Dr. Phil. I'll have to admit it was wonderful not having to wade through all of those commecials. This "New age" technology wasn't as hard to figure out as I thought. In fact, it's pretty easy. Tonight we will be recording the Jazz game against the Lakers! Go Jazz!! Don't tell Linda but it gives me even more power and control over the clicker.

Families really are forever!
Last night Jason & Melinda gave a true gift of love to Dad and I. Through their patience and talent they set up our very own personal BLOG! Thanks to you both...Melinda thanks for all of the customized detail that makes it one of a kind! I am so excited to be able to share our lives with each of you in a more personal way. It is also an awesome way for us to journal! I feel that this is an answer to prayer and a desire to stay in touch better. I have enjoyed Jason & Melinda's blog so much and I have loved printing pictures of them and their adorable girls. I hope that all of my wonderful children will set up a blog so that we can feel more connected. I encourage you to do so.
Today I had the privilege of teaching Relief Society and was able to lead a discussion on the talk in the October Conference by Henry B. Eyring titled "O Remember, Remember". I was so impressed with the challenge President Eyring made that we need to keep a record to help us and our families to remember those times in our lives when we have seen "the hand of God reaching out to touch us or our children (or grandchildren) or our family today?" I am going to try to commit to living up to that challenge. I will record those special times that I see God's hand in my live and share those times in this blog.
I love you all very much and I look forward to sharing my love with each one of you.
