I would like to take a moment today to remember my sweet Marci. Although she has been gone for nearly four years, her memory is still with us.. Every time I sit down at the computer I can't help but notice her picture with her bright smile on top of the desk. Marci had an infectious personality. You couldn't help but love her. Linda and I often chuckle when recall some of the conversations we had with her. She was a relentless tease, and used to get me pretty good. At this time I am so grateful for the knowledge I have that Marci is in a better place. There is no doubt in my mind that she is actively involved in the work of the Lord. May we all take a moment to remember her this day. She loved our grandchildren (especially Keri's kids, and in particular McKenzie) Marci, we will never forget you. We love you!!

Laura's First Dance Recital
Dan and I went to see Laura in her very first ballet dance recital last night at Mountain View High School. What a professional dance performance! The scenery, the costumes and the dancing were amazing! Really! It was far beyond any expectation that I had. They really did a fabulous job. Laura was the cutest little bunny you ever saw. She went on stage, in spite of all the people in the audience, with no fear. She looked and danced as if she had been dancing for a very long time. She came across as having a great time and she was an adorable little bunny! Loved every minute of "Sleeping Beauty." What a great evening! Way to go Laura!
MORE BIG OWIE'S
Good grief enough already! Todd just bought 3 dirt bikes for Tyler, Taryn and Rylie. He was in the process of buying one for himself so that he could enjoy riding with his children.
Todd and the kids had planned a sleepover Friday night at Keri & Bob's house so they could all go riding together on Saturday. They all looked forward to having a great Reed/Randall biking day and fun in the sun. They were at Five Mile in the parking lot when Todd took Tyler's bike over some flat terrain. Apparently, Todd was going about 15 miles per hour and saw a dip in the road so he tried to slow down a wee bit when the brakes locked up and Todd flew one way and the bike went the other way. The bike it fine but Todd is NOT!
Todd went by ambulance to the American Fork Hospital late Saturday night with two breaks in his right arm and a severely broken left ankle which will require sugery! His left knee and shoulder hurt badly and he has some ugly road rash! Dan and I spend time in the emergancy room last night to help and comfort Todd.
Todd is in surgery right now and we are waiting for the news from the Doctor.
The surery is over!!! The Doctor said that everything went as well as could be expected. The knee and the shoulder appeared to suffered some soft tissue damage including tendons and ligaments, but no broken bones. He was able to re-align the ankle using four screws, and he was able to re-align the wrist without pins. The next few days will find it difficult for Todd to get around, but with some physical therapy and lots of prayers we'll have Todd back to normal in no time! The doctors says six months, but we'll see!

Tyler, Rylie and Taryn gave their dad alot of support after the surgery.
Todd's ankle suffered the most damage and had to be surgically put back into place.
X-rays of Todd's ankle show pins and nails to put it back into place.
Todd's wrist did not require a pin, but was just put back together.

Sara turns one year old!
Wow, can you believe that Sara is already one year old? Life goes by so very quickly...too quickly! We had a wonderful time at her party. It was great to see the Fitzgerald's again, Garna and Gary are the best. We had some of Jason's famous home-made ice cream along with Melinda's yummy chocolate cake! Sara opened her presents and seemed very happy with all the attention. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Laura enjoyed having Adam along as well. Our grandchildren are growing up so fast. We feel blessed that they are all healthy and SMART I might add. Happy birthday to Sara!! We love you.

Family makes Three
We had a special guest for a few days while Bret was back east. Adam spent some time with us and we enjoyed having him with us. We worked on a special Egypt project for school....Oh, did that bring back a flood of memories...anyway, we thought it turned out well. Adam went to church with us and we felt young again (well sort of) like a family again. It also brought back a flood of memories when all of our children were attending church with us. After chruch we went to Sarah's 1 year old birthday and had a great time. We drove up to Sundance and walked around and felt happy and refreshed. Adam really enjoyed the river and pond and went on endlessly about fishing. Adam would love to have a cabin in the mountians and fish everyday after work. Nice dream Adam....dream big that is what makes life worthwile. Adam's finger is looking so much better so life is good. Adam looks handsome in his new braces and will be glad he had them when he is old. Right now he can't wait to get them off.

Flowering Pear Trees
Drum roll please! We had the too large and messy Aspen trees removed and we have now planted 3 very lovely flowering pear trees in it's place. Dan and I worked as a great team planting the new trees and all three trees look great. We love our new trees and appreciate the clean and lovely new look in our back yard. It is the very beginning of improving our backyard as time and money allow. In the meantime the trees will grow and provide shade in a few years as our yard continues to look better as time goes on. We are enjoying the new and improved front yard that we did last year and hope that one day our backyard will be as lovely and maintanance free as the front yard. We are enjoying spring so much and love the warmer weather...finally!
